Hi-5 House of Learning Progression
Children join Hi-5 House of Learning from 6 months old where they attend the Happy House programme with their parent or caregiver. Once they reach 18 months, children join our very popular LOVE classes when they learn to become more independent. Children progress in their learning through SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, ONE STEP FORWARD and graduate from WOW at 6 years old.
Hi-5 House of Learning Progression

Our L.O.V.E 1 programme is conducted for children 18 months to 2 years of age. Children at this age group grow and develop at their own pace. They begin demonstrating signs of independence and are developing better communication skills. Our main objectives are for them to foster bond with the teachers, develop their social and language skills, along with their ability to help themselves, to interact and extend their learning skills. Physical activity, too, is a crucial part for these children as they are working towards exploring their bodies in their surrounding environment. Our LOVE 1 children always enjoy a good rhythmic dance during our Music and Movement time!

Hi-5 House of Learning provides a positive censorial environment to support children and families through the transition to preschool and aids in developing independence. Children turning 3 years of age will be admitted into the L.O.V.E 2 class. Through individual and group activities, our teachers focus on developing self-awareness, identity, well-being, communication and connection by embracing learning through play. We also introduce pre-reading, pre-writing and problem solving skills to children of this age. With all our programmes we observe each child’s readiness and progress.

Hi-5 House of Learning provides a stimulating environment where your children are able to explore and investigate through our exciting topics. SKOW (Some Kind Of Wonderful) teachers’ help the children develop through activities that are designed to promote self-regulation, empower them to question ideas, and build their knowledge and creativity. Learning through play enables children to understand more abstract concepts and to enable empathic, respectful friendships.

One Step Forward students at Hi-5 House of Learning learn through child-centred and intentional teaching activities which extend children’s developing cognitive capacity and self-regulation skills. Our OSF teachers guide children through in-depth active exploration of our inquiry topics and child led investigations. Learning through play enables children to understand complicated, abstract concepts and to build on the ideas of others whilst developing a positive growth mind-set.

WOW students consolidate skills learned so far, then apply and expand them for academic purposes. Independence, self-control, resilience and mindfulness are essential for success and are nurtured at Hi-5 House of Learning to ensure a smooth transition to Primary School. Our topics enable children to think beyond the classroom and connect with the wider world, enhancing understanding and challenging their presentation skills.

Hi-5 Infant Programme emphasises on the importance of relationship from 2 months - 17 months onwards, many of whom are new to the preschool setting. Our nurturing and dedicated edu-carers are committed to provide a safe, secure and sensorial environment for the development of emotional security, self-help and physical skills in our very young learners. We will be guiding them through activities, songs and dances linked by mini topics to help promote better communications and facilitate their development by responding to their cues-be it uttering their first words or crawling for the very first time.

At Hi-5 House of Learning, we accept children for childcare/ student cares services outside our regular daily programmes. The children will be facilitated by an Educare teacher that would facilitate the various learning development of the children. We assist Primary children with their homework as well as guiding them through their schooling years.

Hi-5 Mandarin Immersion Programme
Hi-5 House of Learning recognises the growing need for fluency in Mandarin. We harness the benefits of learning through play whilst following the standard Ministry of Education Mandarin Curriculum (KSPK). Children will love learning Mandarin in our supportive environment which results in mastery of the language and a positive attitude to learning as language Immersion is a well-known, proven method for achieving fluency and ensures children have the confidence to apply their knowledge beyond the classroom.
Our Hi-5 Mandarin Immersion Programme can be combined with mornings following our standard British Early Years Curriculum to make a full day of learning.

Following the preschool topics, every class having a designated full time Chinese Language teacher who speaks and interacts with the children in native Chinese Language. Thus, children listen and respond to our teachers in the Chinese Language and acquire the language more readily and naturally.
